EMAS Chair Jeff Worrall, recently paid a visit to the Alfreton Resource Centre, where he was warmly welcomed by a team whose dedication to supporting frontline care was clear from the outset.
Jeff said: “I had a great welcome from an impressive team. Colleagues at Alfreton are committed to helping clinicians deliver the highest quality care to patients.”
The visit offered a behind-the-scenes look at the essential work carried out by the vehicle repair and maintenance team, as well as the medicines management and logistics staff; all playing a vital role in keeping our services running smoothly.
A standout moment was when Jeff spotted a quote from a team member quoted in a previously published ‘I help save lives’ feature. It captures the spirit and purpose of the centre’s work. Jeff noted how this message served as a powerful reminder of the team’s impact on patient care.
Jeff’s visit was a valuable opportunity to recognise the often unseen but critical contributions of the Alfreton team.
Steve Farnsworth, Assistant Director of Operational Support Services, said: “It was brilliant to meet Jeff and the entire team were super appreciative of his time and keen interest.”
Jeff and members of the executive and non-executive director team have more visits booked in the diary, so please do say hello if you see them in your local area.
