A way to say thank you
Every day, our staff respond to people in their time of need. We receive many messages from people who would like to say thank you for the care that they or a loved one received.
Donating money to EMAS Charitable Fund is just one way that you can choose to say thank you. You can also submit a written compliment through our Patient Experience Team.

You can donate to our Charitable Fund online using PayPal. It is quick, simple, and secure.

Texts cost your usual network charge. Always obtain bill payer’s permission.

To raise funds in the memory of a loved one, many people choose to set up a donation page on Memory Giving or Just Giving.
Make your donation go further with Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can add Gift Aid to your donation. This means that every £1 you donate to us will be topped by 25%.
Adding Gift Aid to a £10 donation, means that EMAS will receive a total donation of £12.50.
- If you donate online you will be given the option to add Gift Aid automatically.
- If you donate via cheque or bank transfer you will need to complete a Gift Aid form.
How your donation supports your ambulance service
Improvements for our staff and patients
In the financial year 2024/25, we spent £165,000 from EMAS Charitable Fund on projects and equipment to support patient care and staff wellbeing.
We are extremely grateful for all donations we receive.
Donations received through EMAS Charitable Fund are used to enhance our service, acknowledge the hard work of our staff, and support their wellbeing.
This includes funding for:
- New medical equipment
- Development and training
- Enhancements to staff rest areas and wellbeing initiatives
- Reward and recognition activities, including long service awards.

Spending your donations carefully
Our Charitable Fund Committee ensures that donated funds are spent appropriately and fairly in all areas.
All EMAS staff are able to bid for funding to support projects, developments, and events that benefit their team and service area. This could be an awards event to recognise excellence, or enhancements to a station garden area to help them relax during rest periods.
Donors can indicate how they wish their donation to be used. You can discuss your requests with our team - they can support you to ensure your donation is spent according to your wishes.
