New ambulances are entering service across East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) as part of ongoing investment in our frontline fleet.
So far, 58 new ambulances have entered service, helping to increase frontline capacity. A further 60 ambulances are expected to arrive between November 2026 and March 2027. These later deliveries will replace older ambulances within the fleet, helping keep vehicles on the road and available to respond to patients when they need us.
As demand for our services continues to grow, it’s important that ambulances remain available when patients need us. Like any vehicle, ambulances become older over time and require more maintenance and repairs, so regular investment in our fleet helps keep vehicles on the road and ready to respond to emergencies.
