Louise Jarvis, an ambulance technician in Lincolnshire, has worked all throughout the lead up to Christmas period, including Christmas Day.

After her youngest daughter (now aged 22) was blue-lighted to hospital when she was only four-years-old, Louise was inspired to make a difference to other patients and their families in their greatest time of need

Having been with us since 2015, Louise is no stranger to swapping the turkey and tinsel for time on the road during the festivities.

“This will be the sixth year that I have worked over Christmas, but this year will be different as after a string of night shifts, I’ll be working during the day.”

While Louise will be ready to respond to the most seriously ill people in our region on Christmas Day, she won't be the only member of her family putting other people first.

“My eldest daughter Emily has been deployed with the RAF to Dubai and my youngest daughter Amelia has recently qualified as a staff nurse at Hull Royal Infirmary.”

Louise’s top tips for a safe and joyous Christmas include enjoying the festivities, being kind to your friends and family, and keeping your loved ones close.
