Steven began his medical career in 1995 at the University of Leicester, graduating in 2000. He worked in A&E at Kettering General Hospital before moving to Yorkshire to train in anaesthetics, where he also volunteered with BASICs (British Association for Immediate Care) and the Yorkshire Medic Response team.
Steven first joined EMAS in 2011 as Associate Medical Director, before moving to Yorkshire Ambulance Service, where he became Deputy Medical Director in 2013 and took on the full-time role in 2019.
On 29 September 2025, Steven joined EMAS as our new Clinical Director.
