Ballu brings experience in strategic management, governance and community regeneration from several voluntary leadership roles.
These include serving as a Non-Executive Director at University Hospitals of Leicester, and Associate Non-Executive Director at Kettering General Hospital, and Chair of the Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Foundation.
He also gained practical insight into supporting people with disabilities and those from diverse backgrounds during his time at the Royal National Institute of Blind People.
Ballu has contributed to national policy through the Cabinet Office's Social Inclusion Unit, and he uses this experience to support strong governance and inclusive decision-making at EMAS.
