Freedom of Information

Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information Act (FOI) 2000 allows a general right of access (subject to exemptions) to information held by public authorities. The Act has been introduced to promote greater openness by these authorities.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, East Midlands Ambulance Service has a legal obligation to produce a publication scheme that details all the information available from EMAS and where it can be found.

Freedom of Information requests

If you can't find the information you require in our publication scheme, you can make a FOI request.

These need to be in writing and there are several ways to do this:

Information Governance
East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust
Nottinghamshire Headquarters
Beechdale Road

Please note:  requests for personal information should be sent to either the postal address above or

Impact of coronavirus

We will endeavour to respond to your request within the statutory timescales.  However, due to the current situation, resource may be redirected to other vital areas of the NHS and this may not always be possible.  We thank you for your understanding at this time.
