Our Quality Account 2010/11
EMAS exists to provide a high quality service to the people
of the East Midlands.
Our Quality Account explains what that means in practical terms. It reveals what local people mean by quality when they think of the ambulance service. And it shows our priorities for 2011/2012, based upon what people have told us they want to see.
We have compiled this document to provide readers with information about EMAS’ past, present and future activities in relation to the important subject of quality.
In 2010, the Department of Health (DoH) mandated that all NHS provider Trusts published a Quality Account on an annual basis. The purpose of the Quality Account is to demonstrate our commitment to quality and for others to hold us to account.
Quality is broken down into three domains:
- Patient safety
- Clinical effectiveness
- Patient experience
This Quality Account reviews our performance for 20010/2011 and sets out our key priorities for 2011/2012.
